Try something new
I've been really trying to get my darling Elizabeth's eyes just right when I photograph her. She has such beautiful eyes and I wanted to capture that and I think I finally did it yesterday! I am super pleased with how these photos came out. I also saw a while back a picture on pinterest where someone put their camera around their neck, set the timer and spun their daughter around. I've also been wanting to try that so I did. Not the best but not too bad either if I do say so myself. Enjoy :D

Monkeying around
One of the things that I like to do as a photographer is check out new locations before I have a shoot there. I like to get familiarized with the area and scope out the best places to take people. We usually use this time to pack up the kids, bring a lunch and make it a little day out/picnic, my daughter Abigail LOVES picnics! Last week we scoped out Ellwood Park in Abbotsford for the engagement shot I just did which you can check out here. This park was really beautiful despite all the goose poop. Word of a warning to y'all do not get too close to a Canadian goose they might just hiss at ya!
Happy Friday!

Sneak Peak Brandin and Aileen engagement shoot.
I am so glad that I had a chance to meet Aileen, Brandin and their beautiful daughter Serenity. Aileen was the winner of the Adventures with Jesse contest. I had a great time on this shoot and Aileen made it really fun with her awesome personality. Aileen and Brandin are getting married this winter and I wish them all the best!

Sneak Peak Karin and Rob at home maternity session
I was extremely excited when Karin contacted me about doing some maternity photos for her. I have not had a chance to do maternity yet and was really looking forward to it. When Rob opened the door and I saw Karin she looked so cute in her blue shirt and flower head band and I could not wait to start!

Celebrating 4 Years
Sorry for the late post but I got really caught up in editing the recent maternity shoot that I did which I can't wait to post!
Well this week Jesse came with just Jon and I as my husband totally surprised me for our 4th anniversary. As we were driving home from some errands we were running my cell phone alarm went off and read "Be ready by 3:30 dressy casual attire, I'm not going to work." I was extremely excited as my husband rarely is the romantic type but when he does plan something he does an amazing job at it!
We went to Stanley Park as our winner of the Adventures with Jesse contest, Aileen, suggested. It was a beautiful late afternoon and I got some great shots. We even saw a beaver! After Stanley Park Jesse had to stay behind while the hubster and I went on a sunset dinner cruise. It was a great night and a much needed time away from my new born David. I love him to pieces but he has been quite the challenging baby with his reflux and overly sensitive stomach so a few hours away to not have to stress about him was really needed. Anyways, enjoy and happy Friday!
