Bratus Family session

A few weeks ago I was able to do one last session to a special family before they moved to Edmonton. I had the amazing opportunity to shoot the birth of their beautiful daughter Fiona, you can find that here.
This session was so bittersweet but wonderful. I was able to chat a little and pray for them after which was a blessing. The arrived last Friday safe and sound.

Dengin Maternity/family session

I have known Erin for a few years now. We meet through my sister who now lives in Ohio but has been trying to connect us. When my sister came down for a visit this past October we were finally able to all connect! She announced that she was expecting her 6th baby during our visit. I have such respect for large families. When my husband and I first got married we discussed family size and him coming from a family of 8 himself we thought we would want a large family as well. Since having three in 5 years we are not so sure on that one now. I think if maybe our circumstances were a little different I would reconsider! Like owning our own home with the extra space and the sanity, haha.
Erin is due really soon and I had a great time blessing this family in celebrating the coming arrival of their 6th precious baby!

I have known Jessica since grade 5, that makes our friendship going on 17 years! Last year Jessica asked me if I could take a photo of her and her husband Mark holding one of thier wedding photos. For Narnia!

Today marks my first daughters 4th birthday! From her first birthday we chose to do themed parties. This year she chose to have a Narnia birthday. She loves the character Susan and back in December we came across this amazing dress that would do just the job as dressing up as High Queen Susan! Now being a photographer I want to do little mini sessions with each of my children for their birthdays. I did one in our backyard and then a few days later we got all the beautiful snow and I could not pass up the opportunity to dress her up again and get a real snowy Narnia look! Here are some of the photos I got from both sessions.

Valentine mini session #2

Family

When I had my Valentine mini's I made my husband bring the kiddos along so that I could try and do a little session with them. But it was late, they were tired and were having none of it. Here are some that I was able to get. Abigail was having none of it at all and neither was Elizabeth, David however he rocked it! haha. Happy Valentines Day everyone!

Comfort

Here is another friend that allowed me to come into her home and capture a precious moment with her and her daughter Fiona. Fiona has a hard time napping during the day and Colleen patiently lets this beauty nap on her instead. In our culture it is pretty uncommon to allow our babies to find comfort in us this way. Yes we do do it from time to time but Colleen sacrifices her time day after day to allow Fiona to nap as this is where she is most comfortable; most secure.
