Sorry for the delay folks, things have been pretty crazy in the Grochowski house hold!

Welcome to the world Fiona Adelyn Bratus!
Just over a week ago was able to witness the greatest gift life has given us, birth. It was the most miraculous thing I have ever seen. I had to choke back tears of joy and excitement as Miss. Fiona Adelyn Bratus took her first breath into this life. It took everything in me not to yell out encouragement to the mom, she absolutely rocked it! I hope you all love the slideshow and get a sense of just how much life is in this one little person!

Let's all go to the lobby.....
One of the things that our family likes to do is head to the drive in. We are very lucky to have one 10 mins down the road. Our daughter loves Despicable Me so when we saw that the 2nd one was playing we decided to pack up the van with blankets and head down! The movies were a little disappointing but what was even more disappointing was seeing people all around us with outside food and drinks. Ok so maybe I was one of those people 6 years ago when I was young and did not really care and did not really understand the implications of what I was doing. You see drive ins make no profit on movie sales because it costs so much for them to buy the rights to play the movie. All of the profits come from their food sales that is what keeps them able to actually play the movies and stay open. So please, please, if you are one of those people who takes outside food and drink in think about it next time you go to not. My family and I would love to still share this family outing for a while as I am sure many other families, couples and just friends hanging out would like to as well. That's my rant for the week.

It has been such a pleasure getting to know Wendy over the last few years. She owns a local childrens consignment store here in my home town of Aldergrove called Ciao Bambini that my husband and I visit often. You should really check it out some time awesome deals!! I had an even better time getting to know her husband and kiddos on our shoot last weekend. We had some interesting events happen like her daughter getting locked in the outhouse where Nick (her husband) had to send their eldest son through a crack at the top to save her! Also had the cutest old lady come up to us as I was taking some extremely cute pictures of the kids. She was just so over joyed to see Katie in her tutu and holding flowers. It was a really fun shoot and I can not wait to meet the newest addition when he or she arrives! Good luck Wendy you are going to do great!

Kissed by the sun
Meet my beautiful friend Jessica. We have known each other since we were about 10 years old, we are now 27! Our friendship all started with her saying, "is this seat taken?"
In the summer her freckles always show themselves even more so and I think they are just beautiful so one night while thinking about it I texted her, "I was wondering if I could take some portrait shots of you? I noticed that your freckles have popped and they look beautiful." Her reply, "well since you put it that way its kinda hard to say no."

More from Greg & Colleen's beach maternity session
I just absolutely loved this maternity session. I love the beach!
I met Greg and Colleen last year when they joined our small group in church and have enjoyed getting to know them more each week we met. I will be shooting the birth of their baby girl in July and can not wait to be there and be one of the first to see their faces as they meet her for the first time. Nothing compares to that moment!
