Here is an image that I have been wanting to capture for a little while now. The "lovely" that she is holding is called "tiggy" and she has had him since infant-hood. I bought him as a transition for nap time, I had no idea how attached she would then get to him. There was a time when we had three tiggy's that we rotated through seeing how she liked to suck on the corners of it but then we could not find them any more. The store either stopped selling them for awhile or we were just blind and did not see them. So thus we were stuck with the one and just washed it every second day. Then one day we found them in the store again and bought three more! However since she had had this one tiggy for so long she knew him. She knew his smell, his feel and she knew the color of the corners (a nice stained brown). She looked at this (new) tiggy we handed her with a confused look but put him in her mouth anyhow but immediately spat him out, "that is not my tiggy!" So we left it a another day or too then tried once more but this time she looked at this imposter and said, "that is not my tiggy!"
Now to this day she has him by her side. We make sure that whenever we leave the house we have him and when we leave where we are we make sure we have him. Abigail is turning four this March and the dentist says we need to start phasing him out due to an over bite occurring. I don't know who it is going to be harder for, me or her. Phasing tiggy out means she is growing up. She is not so little any more. Not my baby whom I rocked in my arms while she snuggled and found comfort in the both of us. I knew this day would come one day; I just did not think it would have come so soon.
Life itself is a gift, capture it!

Maternity Session
I had a lot of fun on this session, it was in a new location and it was to bless a young mom choosing life for her baby! Facebook has many down's to it but it also has many up's and one of those up's was getting in contact with Tiimiichiia! Tiimiichiia I pray for a fast and healthy delivery for you and your baby and I hope that these photos will bring you memories for years to come.

My Little Bear
Today our family decided to go on a spur of the moment hiking trip. We are blessed to have many trails locally and all though the spot was a 5 minute drive it took us over an hour just to get everyone ready and out the door. We have come to terms that when having three kiddos under the age of 3 we will never be out of the house in less than an hour when we need to be somewhere, haha.
The hiking was a joke and was not going well at all. I always want to be able to take some shots but it seems that at least 1 out of the 3 children are crying or need something. I was getting pretty frustrated by mid-hike seeing how David would just not stop crying every time I stopped the stroller so we decided just to head back to the van. I forgot to mention the whole point of the hiking was to find some geo caches. If you have never gone geo caching you need to! So much fun, unless you have three small children and one is crying every time you try and stop to find the geo. I digress.
We were packing up the van to head home when I saw a little spot where the sun was coming through just right and snatched up the opportunity to get some shots of my little bubster David. We have this bear outfit to keep him toasty warm and with the forest back round he looked like a little bear cub!

Rock the Shot
Over at Rock the Shot forum they are having a January photo contest of 2013. I decided to enter, hey what the heck, right! It was extremely hard trying to find a shot that I really enjoyed because there has been so many great memories! but I came up with one of my niece. I chose it because she is just so darn cute plus their visit is one that I will cherish always. It was my first time meeting Little Miss Emma Darling and I miss her pretty much almost every day!

Hounslow family session
Brittany contacted me back in December for a family session for her boyfriends family. We first were going to do it inside but a week before the session I asked if there would be a possibility of going outside for it, as I much rather shoot outdoors than in and a very talented photographer and friend of mine gave me the advice of "shoot what you love" and I love shooting outdoors! We were extremely blessed with a cold but beautiful day and since they had such a beautiful back yard they just put on some shoes and jackets and walked out the back door and we were in session! Enjoy!

She's 2!!
I hope some of you got a chance to be outside today because it was beautiful! It was so refreshing to have the sun beaming out! One thing I love about being a photographer is that I have the chance to take some beautiful photos of my kids. I was really hoping that I would have been able to take some photos of Elizabeth on her actual birthday, January 1st, but we were busy all day/night with family activities. So I was so thankful for today's weather. I hauled out our ottoman outside and covered it with the only blanket that would sort of fit and got Lizzy all dolled up. She was a trooper and sat still for the first 5 mins haha. She is my firecracker of the bunch. She's loud, stubborn, outgoing and loves to go "nappies" (nap) and snuggle! Her birth was by far the most peaceful and memorable as it was at home in water! Love you my darling Elizabeth!
Happy Friday everyone!
